This directory contains IMP 8 magnetic field and plasma data.
The subdirectory bowshocks/ contains the lists of bowshock crossings from the IMP 8 mission created by Merka, et. al.
The mag/ directory contains the magnetic field data. This data is in HDF format. It is the same as the original binary data. It was transformed into HDF for inclusion into the VHO and easier reading/use by the community.
The pls/ directory contains two copies of the plasma data. The yearly subdirectories contain ascii text versions of the plasma data which were obtained from MIT. The subdirectory karolen/ contains the original binary versions of those same text files.
